EMPOWERING YOU TO DECIDE
We'll work together to find what's right for you
Trust In Your JudgmentMy philosophy of psychiatric care is simple--you know your mind and your body better than anyone. Who better then, to decide whether a particular treatment works for you?
I find that while there is no shortage of approved treatments in psychiatry, generally only certain ones work best to serve each person's unique needs. |
Partner With Your TherapistIt is my strong feeling a psychiatrist is helped a great deal in terms of his or her ability to diagnose and treat mental health issues by a close working relationship with a patient's therapist.
Your therapist's insight into your condition and the feedback he or she provides about your wellness during the pharmacologic treatment process are invaluable assets in your ongoing care. Therefore, if you are currently in therapy, with your permission of course, I will make every effort to coordinate care. |
Encourage Therapeutic PracticesAs a Manhattan psychiatrist, I also strongly support and encourage the use of 'alternative' therapeutic practices such as acupuncture and homeopathy along with meditative pursuits such as yoga or zen. I find that many of these therapeutic practices can serve as useful adjuncts to more traditional medication therapies or even, for some, replace them altogether.
